DESCRIPTION:We encourage you to participate in this grand annual celebration at the South Carolina Welcome Center at Blacksburg. We are excited to announce that we will have our "Grand Celebration" on Friday\, May 11\, 2018\, from 9:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. We are also extending our invitation to you for the entire week should you wish to come out those days as well. Please call or email by Tuesday\, May 1\, 2018 with your plans and the date(s) that you wish to come.\n\nPlease note that state law prohibits the sale of any items on this property\; however\, National Travel and Tourism Week is a perfect occasion to promote your area and/or business! In the past\, we've had great support and involvement from our tourism industry friends. Many partners have provided the guests with coupons\, iced tea and lemonade\, baked goodies\, fresh fruits\, jellies and jams\, pens and other trinkets\, coloring books and crayons\, and even a watermelon cutting. We've had environmental and educational exhibits\, beanbag tosses\, putting greens\, shagging\, square dancing\, music\, and drawings for attractions and weekend get-a-ways. The festivities\, for the most part\, are going to be inside\, but space is available outside as well\, so please dress comfortably and bring your own table\, chairs and tents (if outside). Be creative!
