DESCRIPTION:The American Board\, a non-profit dedicated to recruiting and certifying community-based teachers in South Carolina\, will host a public event on how local residents can become certified South Carolina teachers. \n\n	Attendees will learn what to expect in a career as a teacher and receive advisement on a personalized path to certification.\n\n	South Carolina Teacher Certification Specialist Katelyn Price will lead the event. Sessions begin Wednesday\, August 8 at 10:30 am and 12 pm at the Cherokee County Chamber of Commerce\, 225 S. Limestone St. Evening sessions will begin at 4:30 pm\, 6 pm and 7 pm at the Hampton Inn Gaffney  Hotel\, 115 Nancy Creek Road.
